Curtin Graduate Year Book 2011

University life would undoubtedly be an integral part of every graduate’s life. The laughter, the tears, the victories, the defeats, the happy moments and the sad ones will undoubtedly be in our hearts and minds forever. Our journey towards obtaining the Curtin degree was one filled with memories to last a lifetime. With the thought of ensuring our great friendships and bonds made during our study as fellow Curtins, we decided to print a yearbook to be distributed among Curtin graduates. We plan in including the picture and names of all Curtin graduates in this yearbook, in addition to providing space for fellow colleagues to pen a few words on each other, to ensure the great memories are kept alive. It would carry the contact details to enable you to keep communicating with your classmates, even after. In addition, we are hoping to include photographs of all the very significant and interesting moments, in addition to inside jokes and stories, maybe even baby pictures of the graduates. This is expected to be a great monument to all Curtin graduates.

Description
This is an orphanage run by nuns. This home consists of 35-40 orphaned or abandoned kids, of which only two are above 5 years of age. Around 10 of these kids are handicapped. These kids come from various backgrounds. Some are orphaned. Others are illegitimate kids. There are a few pregnant mothers who are accommodated here too. These mothers stay at this home until they give birth to the child, maybe stay a little longer and go back to their villages and homes, leaving the kid behind. Not all kids are 100% healthy. Some have special needs. Some are handicapped. I spoke to sister Aloha, the main nun in charge and I drew up a plan for our program.
Things you could donate:
packets of Milo
packets of Tipi-Tip (the two items above are what the nun specifically mentioned saying the kids loved them)
Chocolates
Cupcakes/Butter Cake or something of that sort
Gifts (Small soft toy or something)
Anything else we can add.
Or if anyone can donate anything please do let us know.
